Programs:

AceReader:  Learn to read long documents quickly with this shareware speed reading program. 

Spazz3d:  VRML program used heavily in Cybertown.  It has a steep learning curve, but it is a peice of powerful shareware.

Blaxxun Contact 4.4:   Needed to participate in multiuser 3d, including combat and training.

Gurunet: Freeware that will lookup any word you click, includes translations, search engine.  Very useful if you are doing normal research.

Zone Alarm:  A free firewall that is considered better than BlackICE.  It prevents unauthorized access to your computer. 

ICQ2000a:  Most people have this program, it is often called "the dial tone of the Internet".  It seems to be a standard of communication amongst citizens in and out of Cybertown, though it is a memory hog.  I don't recomend you have it open while in combat.
